Konos Unit: Obedience: Doing what I'm asked to do with a submissive attitude. Authority/Light and The Bible. This year for Konos we are keeping a scrapbook of our work. Here is Avril writing Obedince on her Title page... Avril decided that her scrapbook needed a beautiful picture of Mummy and herself :) Whilst looking at Obedience, we are studying the scriptures on references to examples of obedience and light. The kids are memorising Proverbs 20 - 23: My son,  keep your father’s command      and do not forsake your mother’s teaching. 21  Bind them always on your heart;      fasten them around your neck. 22  When you walk, they will guide you;      when you sleep, they will watch over you;      when you awake, they will speak to you. 23  For this command is a lamp,      this teaching is a light, and correction and instruction      are the way to life, As we study light (Psalm 119), we are taking a closer look at lighthouses. Damon and Adele have chosen an Australian lighthouse to do a research report on.  As God's word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path, then it is important to learn about how the Bible is put together. Adele spent the week singing to Colin Buchanan's Old testament song. We cut up strips of paper and challenged her to put the books of the Bible in order. And she did it!
