The summer season has begun in our little house. That means different things for different people in our family. Matt had a job interview with Publix today. He was hired! Great news. It took him a year to find a job out here. So much for our recovering economy. He will be working as many hours as possible this summer to shore up his savings for the upcoming school year. He begins the Auto Body/Collision Repair Technician program at the community college in the fall. (This after spending two years as an academic student at the same school. He was a straight A student, but decided it was more important for him to have a trade, work with his hands, and be satisfied by a job well done.) Once again, I am reminded that college is not for everyone...even straight A students. Andrew is finishing his gap year and has decided to enter the Automotive Technician program at the community college. He will continue working full time until the fall. In the meantime, he has taken up graphic design again, and is helping a friend out with his website development business. Sam, got behind in World History and Algebra II this year, so he will spend the summer completing his credit for his freshman year. He just began Driver's Ed with FLVS but should be done with that in about four weeks. He will also continue working on Spanish II with FLVS. Grace, just finished her fourth grade year, and we have decided to tackle cursive writing over the summer. We are also going to work ...
