Transitions: What are my interests, skills, gifts and talents? - 05/17/2013

Why is this question important?  Because this is how God made us! He gave us these interesting aspects of ourselves with purpose. When we use our gifts and talents, we serve and worship God. These interests, skills, and talents bring glory to the Father.  This is how we love and serve one another. We lift each other up in comfort, service, or encouragement. We fellowship. We build each other up so that we can see through the fog of our circumstances or the darkness of our unbelief.  When we walk in our gifts and talents, we shine Jesus. We delight in Him!  He enables us to dance, to knit, to play the piano, to tear down and rebuild an engine, to repair or re-purpose, to act in a play, to sing in the opera, to swim the 400, to balance on the beam, to knock the ball out of the park or to write a sincere thank-you note.  He gets the glory!  We are reminded of Christ as we walk in the unique way He created us. Our cups are filled when we pay attention to, and participate in, how He has made us.  So, Moms...delight in Him by developing an interest or skill.   Enjoy Him as you learn about how He made you.  Say no to the noisy gong voices that tell you that "me time," is a myth.  That is a lie from the enemy designed to keep you from fully walking in the way you should go.  Remember, every gift and talent has a learning curve.  Press on, friend.
