Quaker Web Ring

Manager: deleted
The forum for the Quaker WebRing is now open for QWR site-owners who wish to join. Topics are any that would be of common interest to web-ring members, all of whom are trying to present -- via the web -- aspects of Quaker faith and practice. Technical issues, accessibility concerns, and discussion of challenges relating to cooperation among Quaker-oriented websites -- all these are on topic. It is understood that we are all interested in building and maintaining links (and weblinks, of course) among different parts of the Society of Friends. Controversies that divide our religious society are not on topic here. WebRing management policies may be queried and considered here, but final decisions will be up to the WebRing's manager.

Luke 18.9-14 - 05/23/2012
He also told them this parable to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others. "Two men went up into the Temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a toll collector. "The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, 'God, I thank Thee that I am not like other men: extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even like this toll collector. I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all I get.' "But the toll collector, standing far off, would not even lift up his eyes to Heaven, but beat his breast, saying 'God be merciful to me, a sinner!' "I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other. For every one who exalts himself shall be humbled; but he who humbles himself will be exalted."
